By continuing to use Linnect and the Apps (as defined in the Terms and Conditions), you agree to this Privacy Statement and any updates to it. This means that if the Privacy Statement changes, you agree to these changes if you keep using the Apps. When this policy is changed (other than for typographical corrections or minor changes that do not alter its meaning), we will update the “last modified” date on this page. We may provide a summary of the types of changes made.
Your use of the Apps is anonymous. Your Personally Identifiable Information (your real name, emails address, and other such information) is not visible to others without your consent. You may, however, choose to make it visible, for example, by sharing or linking your accounts with other users. Staying anonymous is easy -- simply don’t post personally identifiable information (such as your name) in any questions or content that is visible to other users, and do not share or link your accounts with other users.
We use a variety of technologies and procedures to help protect the security of your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Linnect also implements safeguards that limit access to your personal information to our employees (or people working on our behalf) who, through the course of standard business activities, need access to your personal information. We try to minimize the circumstances in which such access is necessary. For example, we may provide our employee(s) with access to your submissions, goals or profiles in a de-identified form (discussed below) that is not associated to you or your account.
Your personal information will be stored in a secure manner. Full access to the Apps is enabled only by usernames and passwords. You are fully and solely responsible for any and all use of the Apps using your username and password. We reserve the right to revoke or deactivate your username and password at any time.
Linnect is not a covered entity under the federal law known as HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Although Linnect undertakes to secure and protect your personal information, it does not necessarily do so in accordance with all of the requirements of HIPAA. If there is any information or data that you want to store or share only with HIPAA-compliant solutions, then you should not submit, post or otherwise share such information with Linnect through the Apps or otherwise.
We are not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you and our commitment to your privacy and security is our top priority. Set forth below is an explanation of how we may use your data and information, and the limited circumstances in which we may share such data and information with certain third parties without further notice to you.
We will retain and use your Personally Identifiable Information to provide you with and notify you about our services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use information collected through your use of the Apps to provide you with information about our current or future services, to enable the services we provide, and otherwise as described in this Privacy Statement and the Terms and Conditions.
We do not share email addresses or other personal information with third parties without your permission. We also do not sell your personal identifiable information. However, as we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. It the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, your personal information or data may be part of the transferred assets.
Aggregated information is information from multiple members that is not associated with any individual user account. For example, statistics are summaries of information and not associated with any individual user account; de-identified data does not include Personally Identifiable Information. Aggregated information and de-identified data and statistics are used to run and improve the services provided by, on or through Linnect and the Apps. This information may also be used by us or provided to our partners for purposes of research and analysis.
We, like many businesses, sometimes hire other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
The Apps may automatically record certain information about how a person uses the Apps (we refer to this information as “Log Data”). Log data may include information such as a User’s Internet Protocol address (“IP Address”), browser type, operating system, mobile device, the web page that was visited before accessing the Apps, the pages or features of our Apps to which a user browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links clicked, and other statistics. When we collect this information, we use this information to administer the Apps, and we analyze (and may engage third parties to analyze) this information to improve and enhance the Apps by expanding their features and functionality and tailoring them to our users needs and preferences. We use the IP Address to generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how the Apps are used.
As discussed in the Terms and Conditions, in some cases we collect and store information about where you are located, such as by converting your IP address into a rough geolocation or through GPS or sensor data from your device that provides information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers to locate your mobile device. We may use location information to improve and personalize the Apps to you, including by setting the correct time zone and filtering data and information so that it is tailored to your location. If you do not want us to collect location information, you can disable that feature on your mobile device; however, we may still use other methods such as estimating rough geolocation from your IP address, to personalize the Apps.
